A Desultory Work; 2001; paint, vinyl lettering, applied to existing site-specific architecture at Chicago Cultural Center; 28” x 332” x 3”.

Using the century-old architectural ornamentation that is found throughout the Chicago Cultural Center (once the main Chicago Public Library), I produced a site-specific painting on glass that also functioned as a text-based comment about the work itself and the show for which it was created, Contextual, a survey of art and language by Chicago-based artists.
